Well Im new to this blogging stuff But here goes.
Im a 22 year old mortgage broker from South Central Connecticut who spends most my time playing poker online and occassionally at Foxwoods(1/2 300max and 2/5 500max). Right now I am ranked 7th in the railbirds.com real money rankings and 70th in Connecticut with about 280 TLB points on pocketfives(even though I play a very low volume and small stake Mtts online).
On the poker table I play very TAG(tight aggressive). I see very few flops and will almost never play out of position. I like to control pot size and take advantage of my opponents biggest weakness wether it be to passive or to aggressive or calls to much.. ect ect. My biggest edge is prolly in Horse or stud 8 but I can play NL holdem pretty well too. Some of My poker accomplishments are final tabling the daily 120$ at foxwoods twice taking 3rd for $2,100 and 6th for $900, 6th in the daily 15k for $800, 1st in the Railbird rmr finale for $250(chopped with riwaha), 1st in the 5$ rmr for $120, 1st in a 5$ mtt for $265, and a few other 3 figure scores online. Still waiting for my 4 figure online score. The biggest thing i do to improve my game is either read blogs on pocketfives, Watching profitable players, or discuss different situations/scenarios with friends who i think play optimally(if you want to improve your game talk to people who you know know what they are doing dont post asking for advice on railbirds.com for example most those people play terribly imo).
Off the poker table I am kind of struggling right now to be honest the mortgage industry is absolutely horrible right now as our economy is in a free fall. I went from making 100k+ in 04-06 to makings -30% of that now. I had my own condo and a brand new car. Now I live back at home and drive an older car. Its kind of depressing to think about it. What cheers me up is my 4 year old daughter named Brianna Who was born in Jan. of 2004. She is the love of my life. On weekends I get Brianna although my mom/grandmother like to take her out and do Girlie things. I try to be the best father that I can be seeing that I didnt have much of a father growing up.
